About the Author: Elin Hilderbrand lives on Nantucket with her husband and their three young children. Hilderbrand is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the graduate fiction workshop at the University of Iowa.Here's What I Think: If you are looking for the perfect book to read while lazing about in your backyard this summer, this is it. Its the classic tale of one woman's life getting turned upside down in the blink of an eye. This book looks closely at the ideas of friendship, grief, loss, family dynamics, and trust. I have always enjoyed the imagery of Hilderbrand, and she delivers another great read in Silver Girl. Connie and Meredith are well thought out characters that you route for every step of the way.
