Whatcha Reading Wednesday June 23, 2010

This is how "Whatcha Reading Wednesdays" works this week...

Go to page 10, starting with the first full sentence, count to the 10th sentence and type that in.

If it is a spoiler at all be sure to put **Spoiler Alert** at the top of your comment (like if the selection announces the death of an integral character or something).

Here is mine for this week:

"Defensive, just in case"
The Short Life of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyer

Don't forget: Participation in WRW counts for an extra entry to any current giveaways - you just ahve to leave a separate contest on each giveaway post!

  3. [["Pleased to meet you," said Juliet, holding out her hand in greeting to one of the best tennis players in the world while thinking to herself how much more attractive Mary Jo was off court.]]

That's from "Rogues, Riches and Retribution," by Harry Taylor. It's a thriller/mystery about all those things, plus another "r," "revenge." Mafia, death, revenge, as I said, love, hatred, daring double-dealing and heists, it's got it all, plus sadness, pathos, excitement, tension and exhilaration.
