BBI with Lou @ Reader Recommended

Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to a new blogger buddy - Lou from Reader Recommended. Her blog has some great book reviews. Here are her answers to the interrogation questions:

1.Tell me the number one reason you love to read.
The #1 reason I love to read is to be swept away into another place or time.  It’s not only a way to travel without having to leave your house, but you are able to watch the lives of others without interrupting or feeling like a voyeur.  And how exciting pretending you are the characters!  I can be an international spy one day and a forensic examiner the next.

2.What is it about sharing your reviews that keeps you going?
Well, I’ve really only done 1 review on my site so far, but I’ve been sharing reviews with friends and family my entire life.  It’s like reliving the book all over again.  It also gives me satisfaction knowing I’ve helped someone find a book they would have never looked at or help an author get noticed.

3.Who is your all-time favorite author?
I would have to say at this point, Dan Brown.  I just love the fast paced suspense thrillers that keep you guessing page after page.  Every one of his books is like that.  My education is in Psychology and Criminology so I guess I’m kind of drawn to these types of books. (Yes, Agent Starling/Jodie Foster was my idol J )

4.What is your all-time favorite book (single or series)?
Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.  This book literally had me investigation whether some of the symbols and theories could be true.  I drove my husband crazy constantly telling him about it!  I’m so bad about constantly trying to figure out books and movies before they end, but this book kept me guessing until the very end.

5.If you could pick one fictional character and bring them to life, who would it be?
Kay Scarpetta from Patricia Cornwell series books.  I’d like to hang out and come along on all her mysteries involving serial killers.  I know, morbid, right?  This series was also the 1st mystery series I read when I was younger.  Just confirmed the Agent Starling/Jodie Foster obsession.

6.Do you always finish a book, even if you know you don’t like it half way in?
Yes.  I’m extremely anal like that.  I have to finish everything that I start or I feel incomplete, even if it’s painful.  Plus, you never know if there’s that ending that makes you completely re-think the entire book.

7.Do you own an eReader? If yes, why? If no, why not?
I have the Barnes & Noble eReader and Kindle on my iPhone and I just downloaded Kindle on my Mac.  While I still love the feel of a book in my hands and being able to see the cover every time I go to read, I do love the fact that I can read my books anywhere I go without having to plan for it.  For instance, if I have to wait an extra hour or five at the dentist or doctor’s convenience, I can simply pull out my phone and get swept away.

8.What is your all-time single favorite genre to read?
Mystery.  I like puzzles – putting pieces together to come up with the big picture.  Twist endings that make my jaw drop.  I hate predictable books.  So a good mystery is my #1.

9.Here’s your chance to plug your book review blog, twitter, facebook, etc. You know, make a general plea for people to like you…
Reader RecommendedReader Recommended started for my love of reading books and sharing.  It also gets me to write, which I wasn’t doing with my 9 to 5 job.  I hope to grow RR to epic proportions (in my standards anyway).  I’m still learning the ropes and trying to find the time, but I absolutely love it.  I hope that my followers can see that.  I want others to love hearing what I have to say, learn of books they may not have heard of, and give authors the exposure they deserve.  So come by and check me out at http://readerrecommended.blogspot.com and say, hey Lou!  I love constructive criticism.  So please, please, please..share those recommendations J
I hope you all enjoyed getting to know Lou a little better, come back next week to meet another book blogger.

BBI with Pam (OutnumberedMama) from BMWL2R

I have been asked by a few people what my own answers would be to the Interrogation questions, so I have decided to give it a go, and interrogate myself!!

1.Tell me the number one reason you love to read.
Reading lets me go to a different place in my mind. I get to explore all facets of life. It is also a relaxing "vacation" for me - since my world is often filled with chaos - AKA three sons!

2.What is it about sharing your reviews that keeps you going?
There are two main things I love best about reviewing books - I love to talk about the books I have read and I love the chance to work with the authors. I have had the chance to discuss many of the books I have reviewed with the authors, and it just adds another dimension to the book, when you get to see that the author is a real person - often just like us - who just loves books.

3.Who is your all-time favorite author?
This is a difficult one to answer for me as well (which makes me wonder why I ask it...) For paranormal romance I would say JR Ward. For Young Adult I would pick Suzanne Collins or Maria V Snyder. For Historical Fiction I would go with Diana Gabaldon. And for general fiction I think I would go with Lisa Unger or maybe Nicholas Sparks.

4.What is your all-time favorite book (single or series)?
Another hard one - but my fave all-time series is The Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward!  For a fave singular book I would pick Dear John by Nicholas Sparks.

5.If you could pick one fictional character and bring them to life, who would it be?
It would be a toss up between Zadists from BDB, Jaime Fraser from The Outlander Series and Valek from the Study Series.

6.Do you always finish a book, even if you know you don’t like it half way in? Nope, I sure don't. If I can't get past the first 50 pages or so, I put it down . Especially since I have such a huge stack of books to read, I can't waste my time on a stinker!

7.Do you own an eReader? If yes, why? If no, why not?
Not technically speaking. I have both the Kindle and Nook apps on my Droid Phone. I do like to read on them but I couldn't do it all the time. I am on the brink of deciding whether or not to start saving up for one. In the mean time I am just going to keep trying to win a free something!

8.What is your all-time single favorite genre to read?
Paranormal Romance for sure! Although I haven't been reading it quite as often lately it is still right up there for me!

9.Here’s your chance to plug your book review blog, twitter, facebook, etc. You know, make a general plea for people to like you…

Well you are already here at my blog - so....Well HI! In case you don't already you can follow me on twitter and facebook by clicking on the links in the side bar. I am also on Shelfari, PaperBackSwap, and GoodReads.
I hope you all enjoyed getting to know ME a little better, come back next week to meet another book blogger.

BBI with JHS from Colloquium

Hello and welcome to another Book Blogger Interrogation! I have had the pleasure of getting to know a number of very cool book bloggers from all over the blogosphere. I thought it would be fun to put them under the heat lamp so to speak and get some answers to some fun questions. Today I want you to meet JHS from  Colloquium

1.Tell me the number one reason you love to read.
Reading is relaxing. I have a very stressful career. Reading a compelling work of fiction allows me to completely distance myself from the demands of my job and life . . . for a little while. It’s refreshing and rejuvenating.

2.What is it about sharing your reviews that keeps you going?
The most rewarding comments are those received from the authors whose work I review. Recently, I reviewed “The Perfect Family,” a fictional work that was very personal to its author, Kathryn Shay. She was pleased and gratified by my reaction to the book. In turn, I was happy that I experienced her book in the way she hoped readers would and was able to validate her hard work.
Of course, it doesn’t always turn out that way. But so far, there has been only one occasion when I simply could not find anything good to say about a book I reviewed. It was a disaster that should never have been published because the author was simply not qualified to opine about the subject matter – and was a very bad writer, to boot. I hope that never occurs again. Most of the time, especially when dealing with fictional works, some aspect of the reading experience was enjoyable.

Of late, I’ve been contacted by a couple of authors who asked me to review their books because they happened upon my site and enjoyed reading my reviews. Obviously, that’s flattering and inspiring.

3.Who is your all-time favorite author?
I could not name just one because there are so many whose work I enjoy: Anita Shreve, Jodi Picoult, Jan Karon, Janet Evanovich, Nancy Thayer, Gregory Maguire, . . .

4.What is your all-time favorite book (single or series)?
Again, I could never pick just one! I love Jan Karon’s Mitford series about Father Tim and his adventures. I am also a huge Janet Evanovich fan: Stephanie Plum and the rest of the characters are so much fun. I am definitely a Ranger woman.

Probably “To Kill a Mockingbird” is the book that most influenced me as a child/young adult. I wanted to be the female Atticus Finch when I grew up.

5.If you could pick one fictional character and bring them to life, who would it be?
Again, probably Atticus Finch. Imagine the conversation we could have about our cases!

6.Do you always finish a book, even if you know you don’t like it half way in? Most of the time, although I recently gave up on a nonfiction book. I just couldn’t get through it because the writer’s style was so laborious and plodding.

7.Do you own an eReader? If yes, why? If no, why not?
No! Between work and home, I spend enough time using computers. I want to hold a book in my hand. I want to highlight, make notes in the margins, bend the corner of the page if I want to, and smell the paper.

8.What is your all-time single favorite genre to read?
Fiction geared toward women. I like to read about relationships, families, and how people evolve over time as a result of their life experiences.

9.Here’s your chance to plug your book review blog, twitter, facebook, etc. You know, make a general plea for people to like you…
At Colloquium (http://www.jhsiess.com/), I write comprehensive reviews. Some people might argue that they are too lengthy, verbose. But I believe a writer puts so much effort into crafting an enjoyable, memorable experience for his/her readers that I owe him/her a thoughtful, purposeful review of the result.

I’ve been fortunate to host a few authors’ guest posts and interviews, as well as some book giveaways. There are some great events upcoming so I encourage all of your readers to stop by for a visit and subscribe!!

I hope you all enjoyed getting to know JHS from Colloquium, come back next week to read MY ANSWERS TO THE INTEROGATION QUESTIONS!

BBI With Christie from The Fiction Enthusiast

Hello and welcome to another Book Blogger Interrogation! I have had the pleasure of getting to know a number of very cool book bloggers from all over the blogosphere. I thought it would be fun to put them under the heat lamp so to speak and get some answers to some fun questions. Today I want you to meet Christie from The Fiction Enthusiast.

1.Tell me the number one reason you love to read.
It’s an escape! With books I’m able to visit places I’ll most likely never see in my lifetime.

2.What is it about sharing your reviews that keeps you going?
I love meeting other book lovers, and sharing opinions (positive or negative) about a book I’ve read. My real life circle of family and friends doesn’t contain many readers, so the internet is my main book discussion outlet.

3.Who is your all-time favorite author?
Three way tie between Patricia Briggs, Karen Marie Moning, and Charlaine Harris. For Young Adult novels I love Suzanne Collins. I’m also a huge fangirl when it comes to Richelle Mead and Jeaniene Frost. Oops..sorry you just meant one right? It is impossible to choose.

4.What is your all-time favorite book (single or series)?
The Hunger Games and Catching Fire are both amazing. I also love the Mercy Thompson series, Fever series, and Sookie Stackhouse series. The Agency Trilogy by Y .S Lee is another fabulous favorite of mine.

5.If you could pick one fictional character and bring them to life, who would it be?
Just one! This is always such a difficult question. Last time I was asked I chose Peeta so let me pick another favorite. Bran Cornick from the Mercy Thompson series. He is the epitome of the Alpha Male, and I feel like we don’t see nearly enough of his character in the books.

6.Do you always finish a book, even if you know you don’t like it half way in? Yes! I wish I didn't but if I’m more than a few chapters in I can't quit. Sometimes I'll put it down, and try again after reading something else.

7.Do you own an eReader? If yes, why? If no, why not?
Yes, I actually own two. I'm a gadget junkie. We move around every few years, and I can't always take books with me. It's usually months before we're settled so I like have a digital library on hand to keep me company.

8.What is your all-time single favorite genre to read?
This constantly changes with my mood. The ones I primarily read are Paranormal Romance, Historical Romance, Dystopian, Urban Fantasy, and anything Young Adult. I especially love fantasy novels with a historical setting.

9.Here’s your chance to plug your book review blog, twitter, facebook, etc. You know, make a general plea for people to like you…

You can find my blog http://thefictionenthusiast.blogspot.com/ I read and review a variety of genres. I’m also on Twitter @mamabookworm I always love to chat with other book lovers, and receive recommendations for my constantly growing TBR list.

I hope you all enjoyed getting to know Christie @ The Fiction Enthusiast - I sure did. Come back next week to meet

BBI with Lisa at A Life Bound by Books

Hello and welcome to another Book Blogger Interrogation! I have had the pleasure of getting to know a number of very cool book bloggers from all over the blogosphere. I thought it would be fun to put them under the heat lamp so to speak and get some answers to some fun questions. Today I want you to meet Lisa from A Life Bound By Books.

1. Tell me the number one reason you love to read.

I love to read because with a good book your imagination can run wild and for a little while you can step into another world and find yourself on an adventure - with a good book just about anything can happen!
2. What is it about sharing your reviews that keeps you going?

I’ve found many great books via reviews from others and because of that I share my reviews with the hopes someone finds a great book from me.

3. Who is your all-time favorite author?

That is a really hard question. I can say that right now I have a few that come to mind – Maggie Steifvater, Jandy Nelson, JR Ward, Gena Showalter, Jeri Smith Read…. And so many more - It’s just too hard to pick one!!
4. What is your all-time favorite book (single or series)?

There’s just no way to pick just one all time favorite book or series. So, I’ll have to name a few – Shiver by Maggie Steifvater, The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson, Shade by Jeri Smith Ready, Just Listen by Sarah Dessen, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins… and then for adult titles – The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward, The Night Huntress series By: Jeaniene Frost.. and many, many more.
5. If you could pick one fictional character and bring them to life, who would it be?

Hmmm, let’s see. WOW, you’re good at asking hard questions! I mean just one? Lol It’s a tie between…. Sam from The Mercy Falls series By: Maggie Stiefvater, Joe from The Sky Is Everywhere By: Jandy Nelson, Tristan from Promise By: Kristie Cook, Lenah & Rhode from Infinite Days By: Rebecca Maizel,.. and Everyone from Shade By: Jeri Smith-Ready. And when it comes to an adult series… common, hands it down it would have to be any of the Brothers from the Black Dagger Brotherhood books By: J.R. Ward. Sorry, I couldn’t pick just one! lol

6. Do you always finish a book, even if you know you don’t like it half way in?

It depends on if it’s a book that I’ve accepted for review or not. If it is, then yes, I do always try to finish the book. If it’s something I’ve purchased or won… then I’ll sometimes put the book aside to try it again another day. Sometimes it all depends on the mood your in and what sounds good at the time.
7. Do you own an eReader? If yes, why? If no, why not?

I do own a Kindle and I LOVE IT! I had wanted one for a few reasons. The main one being room. I have a HUGE collection of books and am quickly running out of room. Some books I don’t mind not actually owning, but want to read them. It’s those that end up on my Kindle.
8. What is your all-time single favorite genre to read?

Well, that would be a toss up between Paranormal and Urban Fantasy. I read many different genre’s in both YA and Adult, but those two top the list.
9. Here’s your chance to plug your book review blog, twitter, facebook, etc. You know, make a general plea for people to like you…

I read and blog because I love both and they fit together nicely. I hope everyone who comes to visit will find something that they love and will stick around for more. September is a big time for me and my blog. I’ll be celebrating my Blogoversary, my Birthday and reaching 400+ Followers that I hope by then it’ll be to celebrate 500+ followers! BBI With Sapphire Reads @ One Page at a Time

Hello and welcome to another Book Blogger Interrogation! I have had the pleasure of getting to know a number of very cool book bloggers from all over the blogosphere. I thought it would be fun to put them under the heat lamp so to speak and get some answers to some fun questions. Today I want you to meet Sapphire Reads from One Page at a Time. She is my IRL BFF. Now I want you to get to know her a little better.

1. Tell me the number one reason you love to read.

I have been reading since I was a little girl and knew how to read. From my Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books to my Children’s Bible, which I read the cover off of to Sweet Valley High. I read to escape from my everyday thoughts and myself, which is why I mainly read fiction
2. What is it about sharing your reviews that keeps you going?

Well I technically just started sharing reviews in writing. However, having been a member of different book clubs over the years, sharing a review even through speech is a wonderful idea to me because I get to share with others what I thought of a book and hear what they thought if they did read it. I also think it’s a way to open someone else’s eyes to a different genre or author.
3. Who is your all-time favorite author?

Right now I have two. They are Diana Gabaldon and JR Ward
4. What is your all-time favorite book (single or series)?

My favorite series are Black Dagger Brotherhood and Outlander Series.
5. If you could pick one fictional character and bring them to life, who would it be?

Jamie from the Outlander Series
6. Do you always finish a book, even if you know you don’t like it half way in?

If I’m halfway in I will finish it because I feel like I have already invested the time. However if I can’t get past the first couple chapters and no one I know and trust is telling me to keep going then I won’t continue.
7. Do you own an eReader? If yes, why? If no, why not?

Yes I do. I bought an eReader for convenience and space (no more on my shelf). The convenience factor is that it allows me to walk around with my library and any book at my fingertip

8. What is your all-time single favorite genre to read?

My favorite genre right now is paranormal/urban fantasy
9. Here’s your chance to plug your book review blog, twitter, facebook, etc. You know, make a general plea for people to like you…

BBI with Heather from Proud Book Nerd

Hello and welcome to another Book Blogger Interrogation! I have had the pleasure of getting to know a number of very cool book bloggers from all over the blogosphere. I thought it would be fun to put them under the heat lamp so to speak and get some answers to some fun questions. Today I want you to meet Heather (ham1299) from Proud Book Nerd. She found me a few months back and I am so glad she did. She is an active member of the BMWL2R community and we are so happy to have her. Now I want you to get to know her a little better.

1. Tell me the number one reason you love to read.

It's fun. I get to meet new people, visit new places, experience things I wouldn't otherwise!
2. What is it about sharing your reviews that keeps you going?

Occasionally someone will say I inspired them to read a book they weren't sure about. Or, I've introduced something new to someone. That makes it worthwhile. If I can share my love of reading with just one person, I am happy.
3. Who is your all-time favorite author?

I love so many different books, so many different authors, so many different genres. It's IMPOSSIBLE for me to choose just one! Tops that come to mind off the top of my head: J.K. Rowling, Michael J. Sullivan (of The Crown Conspiracy), L.M. Montgomery, and many others.
4. What is your all-time favorite book (single or series)?

Umm ... probably the Harry Potter books, Anne of Green Gables (and the rest of the series), or The Riyria Revelations by Michael J. Sullivan
5. If you could pick one fictional character and bring them to life, who would it be?

      Anne Shirley

6. Do you always finish a book, even if you know you don’t like it half way in?

I try to. Sometimes it takes awhile for it to get good. I keep thinking it's gotta get better. It is VERY rare that I don't finish a book
7. Do you own an eReader? If yes, why? If no, why not?

No. It doesn't appeal to me at all. I like curling up with a book, turning pages, the smell of a new book ... plus, I HATE reading on the screen!
8. What is your all-time single favorite genre to read?

Fantasy
9. Here’s your chance to plug your book review blog, twitter, facebook, etc. You know, make a general plea for people to like you…

Proud Book NerdI'm so not good on selling myself! LOL I read because I love it. I blog for the same reason. Hopefully my love of reading and blogging come through. I try to respond to comments on my site, because I believe in maintaining a dialogue with my readers. (Plus, I totally hate when my comments on others' blogs seem to go ignored!) I truly hope that everyone who follows/subscribes does so because they like what they see.
I hope you all enjoyed getting to know Heather - ham1299 - I know I did. Come back next week to meet Sapphire Reads from One Page at a Time!

Book Blogger Interrogations: Julie P @ Reading Without Restraint

Hello and welcome toanother Book Blogger Interrogation! I have had the pleasure of getting to know a number of very cool book bloggers from all over the blogosphere. I thought it would be fun to put them under the heat lamp so to speak and get some answers to some fun questions. Today I want you to meet Julie from Reading Without Restraint. She found me a few months back and I am so glad she did. She is an active member of the BMWL2R community and we are so happy to have her. Now I want you to get to know her a little better.

1. Tell me the number one reason you love to read.

It is a cheap form of entertainment! I can’t afford to travel the world, so books are a way to do that without going to the extra expense…..
2. What is it about sharing your reviews that keeps you going?

I love to read my followers comments. And I like to think that I can help other readers find their next great read!
3. Who is your all-time favorite author?

I would say my favorite author is Jodi Picoult.
4. What is your all-time favorite book (single or series)?

My favorite book (hands-down) is I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb. My favorite series is the Prey Series by John Sandford.
5. If you could pick one fictional character and bring them to life, who would it be?

Since the Prey Series is my favorite series, I would have to say I would love to meet Lucan Davenport or his wife, Weather…….
6. Do you always finish a book, even if you know you don’t like it half way in?

Most of the time I will finish a book. I only set a book aside if I can’t stand it, and usually I can find something to enjoy in every book I read…..
7. Do you own an eReader? If yes, why? If no, why not?

Yes, I own a Nook. This isn’t something I would ever have bought for myself, but my hubby got it for me. I absolutely love it!
8. What is your all-time single favorite genre to read?

I would have to say Women’s Fiction. I love dramas that explore relationships and family ties—especially if they make me cry!
Reading Without Restraint”=9. Here’s your chance to plug your book review blog, twitter, facebook, etc. You know, make a general plea for people to like you…

There are so many great blogs out there. I really don’t think mine stands out—it is just something that I enjoy doing and I hope others enjoy it as well. Stop by for a visit and if you like what you see, sign up for a follow!

I hope you all enjoyed getting to know Julie P - I know I did. Come back next week to meet Ham1299 from Proud Book Nerd!

Book Blogger Interrogations: Rita @ Not Another Romance Blog

Hello and welcome to the first (of many, hopefully) Book Blogger Interrogation! I have had the pleasure of getting to know a number of very cool book bloggers from all over the blogosphere. I thought it would be fun to put them under the heat lamp so to speak and get some answers to some fun questions. To kick things off I want you to give a big welcome to Rita the Historical Romance Junkie from Not Another Romance Blog! I "met" Rita through the Got Books? Event and am thrilled that I did! She has a very cute little blog that I think lots of you will find worth a peek!

1. Tell me the number one reason you love to read.
The number one reason why I love to read is because those sneaky little buggards known as books somehow find a way to get me emotionally invested without even trying. I can read a book on a whim and before I know it, I am squealing, and dancing a jig or holding back tears and fanning myself. With all the stress of the real world mounting daily, the escape a good book provides is temptation I can never resist.
2. What is it about sharing your reviews that keeps you going?

I really procrastinate with my reviews. I just love to read, but sometimes, I find the idea of summing up the hours I devoted to a book daunting. Will I be able to attract readers with this? Will this review do the book justice? Where do I start!? But then I open the new post creator on blogger and begin to write from the heart. If I loved a book, I'll tell you. If it wasn't all that I wished it to be, I'll tell you that too. I can not tell you how good it feels to finish a review and look over it and know it DOES pretty much sum up my experience with this book. Writing reviews really started as a way for me to catalog my thoughts and opinions on the novels I've read, but then strangers started reading them too and telling me they made them want to read the book or they agreed with what I had to say, and I felt like I had a purpose. Who doesn't want to have a purpose?

3. Who is your all-time favorite author?
It's so hard to choose an all-time favorite author. You discover new ones everyday, and there are millions of books I have yet to read. But as of now, my favorite author would have to be Lisa Kleypas. EVERY single one of her books are amazing and affecting. I can pick up any book with her name on the cover and feel confident about walking up to the cash register and investing in it. Her historicals are amazing, and I hold high hopes for her ever growing list of contemporaries as well (the Travis series is a real pleaser!).
4. What is your all-time favorite book (single or series)?
My all-time favorite book is once again, a difficult question to answer in black-and-white. While I may not have the gall to name a 'favorite' book, I do have a book I consider my 'most dear'. Sentimentally, I hold this one book in great esteem over all others I have read so far, and even if there are better books out there, I still hold this one close to my heart. It is 'It Happened One Autumn' by Lisa Kleypas. I just loved the drama and adventure and reluctant love that blossomed. My favorite scene is when Lilith gets drunk and tries to get a too large pear from inside too small decanter. Her hand gets stuck, but her drunken yet pure interaction with Marcus as he tries to free her hand from the jar is just so sublime and entertaining!

5. If you could pick one fictional character and bring them to life, who would it be?
I love fictional characters as much as anybody, but once I start reading a book, and seeing a relationship start to form with the heroine and hero, it's hard to want to picture myself in her shoe. It's THEIR love story, and I just like to sit back and enjoy the ride. But one character I am able to recall whom I wouldn't mind seeing in real like is Jack Travis from 'Smooth Talking Stranger' by Lisa Kleypas (yes, another Kleypas). I loved how manly he was, and how protective over the woman he considered his. He doesn't love in half-measures and you can tell that he will do anything for Ella. He's the type of guy who will fall in love and need no one else. He is easily contented with just being around that special someone and he doesn't need 'space' or 'me time' when there's someone so beloved to share his life with. He's a guy I could fall in love with instantly if he were real.

6. Do you always finish a book, even if you know you don’t like it half way in?
I always try to finish a book, but if the book loses my interest, I turn into a skimmer. I feel I haven't done the book justice if I just close it midway through. If the plot or writing style just isn't what I usually enjoy, I'll skim through to the end, half-reading a paragraph here or there, and get the gist of the book (climax and conclusion) before closing it.

7. Do you own an eReader? If yes, why? If no, why not?
No, I do not own an ereader. I wish I had a better excuse, but what it comes down to is: Paperbacks add up quick. I wish I had about 200$ to invest in a nook or kindle, but right now, I haven't even stepped foot into my college and have already received a bill for $14k (just for one semester). I hate knock off's or alternative ereaders. I'd rather invest in the real deal and be satisfied with it's awesomeness! I will hopefully splurge and get one for Christmas though. Something tells me I'll become enamored with it and treat it like a bible once I get it./ side note: As I've said before, I am a sentimentalist, and I will always prefer the printed word as appose to some techy gizmo. I see the benefits and pro's when it comes to having an ereader (save money on most novels since efiles cost less than paperbacks, cool apps, accessibility, ect) but there's something about having my hands on a stack of paperback books that will always endear them to me.

8. What is your all-time single favorite genre to read?
My all-time favorite genre is, of course, HISTORICALS! I am a huge historical romance fan and I love the classic regency, ton & ball, stories. I enjoy a good highlander or medieval or pirate tale, but the regular regencies are my favorite!
9. Here’s your chance to plug your book review blog, twitter, facebook, etc. You know, make a general plea for people to like you…
Hey people, please like me! lol. I am the original creator and publisher for the Not Another Romance Blog blog. Romances is my drug, and like I always say "addicts need love too"! I do book reviews, host giveaways, interview authors, create reading lists, and put out funny posts where I give you a glimpse into my perverted randomness. I love historicals, but I try to dip into new genres whenever I can. You can easily contact me through my email (historicalromancejunkie[at]gmail[dot]com) or seek me out on one or more of the many social networking site I've set up accounts with for the blog. I am always happy to chat or offer whatever kind of help I can provide to whoever goes out of their way to contact me.
